Partridge, Kansas

Partridge 1945

In 1945, Art Smiley (Santa Fe Railway Agent from 1941 - 1961) took pictures of many buildings and homes in and around Partridge, Kansas. He arranged the small pictures in a collage and placed it in a frame made of local cedar.

In 1964, he presented it to the Partridge library as a literal snapshot of the city at a point in time, as a remembrance of the town he loved.
